BLCC Annual BBQ July 29th 2017

Once again our annual BBQ was hosted by Anny Verwijs at Kilcroney Furniture. The succulent steaks and lamp chops cooked to perfection by our head chefs Frank Tumson and Jean Pradot were washed down with excellent wines (from Blackrock Cellar) and Belgian Beers (courtesy of Premier International Beers) owned by the very entertaining Dean McGuiness and his beautiful wife Breda. Over 60 guests wined and dined in the warm sunshine while the children bounced away to their hearts content on the Bouncy Castle. We were very honoured this year to have our President Hans De Belder, his wife Una and son Brendan together with the Ambassador Philippe Roland and his son Quentin attend the BBQ. We were also delighted to welcome the new Honorary Consul to Luxembourg Mr Ivan Healy who will be taking over from Mr Noel Kierans who was appointed in 1998 and has spent the last 19 years representing Luxembourg in Ireland. Noel has been a very active and supportive member of the Belgian Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Ireland so we look forward to a similar relationship with Ivan. It was heartening to receive all the complimentary emails stating how much everyone enjoyed themselves at yet another very successful and entertaining event.
