The BLCC had TJ Byrne, Chief Operating Officer of Healthy Place to Work make a very interesting and informative presentation to members and guests on Tuesday 21st March 2023. TJ explained in great detail and with excellent visuals the impact on productivity and efficiency in a workplace that does not include good health guidelines within its organisation. Workforce health is a vital element in sustaining long-term and loyal employees and should be practiced and demonstrated from top management down. The presentation made for stimulating conversation and networking discussions among those present at the reception afterward.
There was a big Thank You and a bouquet of flowers presented to Patricia MacKay who after many years has decided to step down from the position of Secretary. The Chamber is very grateful and appreciative of Patricia’s dedication and commitment over the past eleven years and wish her the best in her retirement. There was a warm welcome extended to Joanna Harman who is taking over from Patricia and there is no doubt she will be an excellent replacement.
Please note our next event will be on 23rd May at the Belgian Ambassador’s residence. An official invitation will be sent out over the next couple of weeks.
