NINA DERWAEL WORLD CHAMPION ON THE UNEVEN BARS: Belgium has another world champion to its name. In Doha, Nina Derwael has claimed the world title on the uneven bars. It is the best result ever achieved by a Belgian gymnast. The Limburg-native performed superbly throughout the tournament. In total, she reached 3 of the finals. Read more

BELGIUM TOP IN EUROPE FOR BATTERY RECYCLING: Belgium is the European country which recycles the highest percentage of batteries. According to a Eurostat report, 71% of batteries in Belgium were collected and treated in 2016, which is much higher than the European average (44%). Read more
