The BLCC were honoured to have John McGrane, CEO of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce as our Guest Speaker on Thursday 18th October 2019.
John is a retired financial services professional having completed a 40 year career with the Royal Bank of Scotland/Ulster Bank Group in Ireland.
His career has spanned substantial initiatives in the enterprise and corporate sectors and he is founder of NSI Technology, a tech start-up which helps Not For Profits become Not For Losses.
More importantly John McGrane is immersed in all things Brexit and so articulate, informative and composed that he delivered a fascinating speech all without notes….superb. John had just come from a special meeting with Simon Coveney so was able to convey direct and useful information to everyone present. Questions and answers were wide and diverse with strong and direct responses from John which helped make the evening a tremendous success.
The event was very kindly hosted by Ambassador and Mrs De Bauw in their tastefully and magnificently refurbished resident. The canapes and drinks were served by attentive and helpful staff and there was even time for some networking among all those present.
